So, I am attempting a NaNoWriMo novel during this month. Basically, I get to torture myself until I write 50,000 words within 31 days. Now, for those of you who know me, you'll already know that I am generally a shiftless layabout with a propensity to start projects without ever finishing them. I actually have $400 worth of blank, or nearly blank canvasses covering my kitchen (and annoying my roommate) to attest to that fact. So, since I started on May 7 (8 days ago), I have amassed a collection of 10,126 words and 29 pages. That includes my ignoring the entire writing project for 5 of those days. So I think I am doing pretty good so far. My goal for right now is to get 25,000 words by midnight saturday. We'll see if I can do it. I am going to start writing up my word count here as often as I can, so I'll keep you posted and anyone who is actually paying attention should feel free to openly mock me should I fall short of my goals.
So, in closing:
Word Count: 10,126
Words to 25,000: 14,874
Words to Finish: 39,874
